Well my friends I have just turned 50. Wow, I didn't even wake up wrinkled and I haven't started falling down hill just yet! I have been married for 25 1/2 years to a wonderful, supportive husband and I love being a wife. I am generally a quiet, calm person but I am a red head and Irish so when I'm angry or excited you know it. I am opinionated like most people are but I will respect yours and hope you will respect mine in return. I have finally succeeded in NOT giving my husband the deadly silent treatment when I am angry with him (which isn't often thank GOD!)  My husband says I am quirky and weird! Somehow he didn't think that was a insult! He says it means I am different, unique, one of a kind--but in a good way! Now, that is coming from a man who loves me :)  I love adventures, even if they are all in my mind. I love travelling whenever I get the chance to: Camping, cruises, Worldmark resorts, and beaches are a favorite. Over the past year I have lost 70 pounds and feel much better about myself and I am much healthier. It was a hard battle but worth it.  I take care of my mother so working outside of my home is out of the question and she is my full time job. I surf through the world online as often as I can! I have 2 great adult children who would drive me crazy if I let them (worry)! They live all the way across the US from me---Gee, I wonder why? Could it be they are tired of my over-mothering? Most would say I am a magnet for anyone who needs a mother figure. I do seem to collect "foster" kids and grandkids. I love animals. I have 5 dogs, 3 are lap dogs that live indoors and I sure wish I had read about chihuahuas BEFORE getting them, and 2 are large dogs (guard dogs--yeah right!) and they live outdoors. I have 2 cats who spend most of their time indoors. We live in the country on 32 acres. I am not racist and hate racism but I believe anyone that is not here legally should be deported and we should not support them. I believe we need to support our country before sending money to other countries. I believe If someone is in our country they should learn our language, not the other way around. I am patriotic. Our country may not be perfect, but it's better than any other that I know of. I have lived in two other countries, Malta and Singapore as a legal guest. I did not expect them to learn my language or to support me. I do not agree with homosexual marriage. But I do not dislike homosexuals. They are who they are and also need friends and family. Well, now you know a little about me and what I believe. A lot of what I have said may not be popular to some, but remember I may not agree with everything you believe either! It is a matter of Grown-up respect to agree to disagree! I Update my HUBS Often so come on back and see what's new!
