He gave His all for us!

They hung my Jesus on a cross,

He died for us who would be lost,

They hung my Jesus on a cross,

Crucified, Crucified.

They nailed His hands and pierced His side,

And as He bled His mother cried,

They nailed my Jesus on a cross,

Crucified, Crucified.

They placed a crown upon His head,

Not made of Gold but thorns instead,

They nailed my Jesus on a cross,

Crucified, Crucified.

The thunder rolled and the rain it poured,

On the one who should have been adored,

They hung my Jesus on a cross,

Crucified, Crucified.

They hung my Jesus on a cross,

Crucified, Crucified.

He looked towards heaven before he died,

Forgive them Father is what He cried,

Forgive them, Father they no not what they do,

And then He died for me and you.

They hung my Jesus on a cross,

He died for us who would be lost,

They hung my Jesus on a cross,

Crucified, Crucified.

I wrote the lyrics to this song about 15 years ago to sing at the Resurrection Sunday Service at my parents church in Oklahoma. I have always loved it, and considered it my best.

He gave His all for us! These are filthy rags in comparison but they are felt deeply in my heart and soul. I thank Him for what He has done for me.

Beautiful your words are sweet music about our Amazing Christ that took upon himself our sins so we could be spared hell. I want to cry thinking how he suffered and gave us a chance to choose him for life, eternal. Is your song published? Matthew West would sing this so awesome. Many would. It is awesome. You have a gift. Your love of the Lord shines on.

Thank You for sharing and caring.

With Love

Thank you for your kind and heartfelt words. I can see you love the Lord too. No my work has not been published. I simply wrote it for my Lord. I sang it one time in public years ago. I do not even have sheet music. I have tried to get the courage to ask the worship leader at our church to write the music for me. And get the courage to actually sing it in my home church. I am very shy.
