Hatred Is On The Rise!

I do not understand why there is so much hatred between people in this world over their differences. I always believed that it is our differences that make each one of us special, interesting, and why we have such great food :).

Seriously, Hate Crimes blow my mind. Not a day goes by that I do not hear about another one! The most recent being the one at the U.S. Holocaust Memorial Museum. James Von Brunn at 88 years old, could face first degree murder charges for his alleged attack on those at the Holocaust Memorial Museum. A black security guard named , Stephen T. Johns was killed during the alleged attack. James Von Brunn has a web site, holywesternempire.org, where he promotes an Internet book in which he believes he exposes the truth about a Jewish conspiracy to eradicate the White gene-pool."http://wbztv.com/. It is hard for me to believe any clear headed, educated, logical thinking person could actually believe such an idea. Then again those same people believe ridiculous things about black people and gay people also!

The Holocaust : holos, "whole" and kaustos, "burnt"), also known as Shoah is the term generally used to describe the genocide of approximately six million European Jews during World War II. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Holocast

It is more logical to believe the truth about the Holocaust, the proof is very well documented. Hitler and his army slaughtered millions of Jews. I can't believe there are people who still believe that it did not happen! All the proof in the world will not change the mind of someone who does not want to see the truth.

"Supremacism is the belief that a particular race, religion, gender, species, belief system or culture is superior to others and entitles those who identify with it to dominate, control or rule those who do not. Examples include supremacism based on ethnic or anthropological origins (white supremacy, black supremacy, ethnocentrism), sexuality (male supremacy, female supremacy), sentience (human supremacy, alien supremacy) and religion" (see below).

"Racial supremacy differs from racism in that, racism is the dislike or disrespect for a particular ethnic group. Racial Supremacy is the belief that one's own race is superior, dominant, chosen, smarter, more civilized, or more productive than any other race. Following the development of theories such as evolution and eugenics, supremacists have sought scientific justification for their views through notions such as Social Darwinism. Some supremacists believe in a hierarchy of races, in which certain races are more or less evolved than others. White supremacists believe they are more evolved than blacks, while certain Asians (particularly those of East Asian descent) believe they are the most superior race, based on factors such as IQ, educational attainment, low rates of crime and violence, and wealth (e.g., the model minority, cognitive elitism). Manifestations Of Hate

Hatred is an intense emotion. It is my belief that when this emotion is felt by someone who does not know how to control their emotions (emotionally unstable) then it is only time before it manifests itself in a very unhealthy manner: Unhealthy for everyone involved! I believe a person who is able to have an opinion about someone in a healthy manner can as it is said 'agree to disagree'. Therefore, they are able to intermingle with all people without being excessive and allowing their disagreement to turn to hatred and then their hatred into violence.

Manifestations of hate can take many forms:

Blood libel - Blood libels are false and sensationalized allegations that a person or group engages in human sacrifice, often accompanied by the claim that the blood of the victims is used in various rituals and/or acts of cannibalism. The alleged victims are often children.

· Ethnic cleansing - Ethnic cleansing is a euphemism referring to the persecution through imprisonment, expulsion, or killing of members of an ethnic minority by a local majority to achieve ethnic homogeneity in majority-controlled territory.[1] The term entered English and international media usage in the early 1990s to describe war events in the former Yugoslavia.

Ethnocide - Ethnocide is a concept related to genocide. Primarily, the term, close to cultural genocide, is used to describe the destruction of a culture of a people, as opposed to the people themselves. It may involve a linguicide, phenomenons of acculturation, etc. Furthermore, by contrast with a genocide, an ethnocide is not necessarily intentional. However, unlike genocide, which has entered into international law, ethnocide remains primarily the province of ethnologists, who have not yet settled on a single cohesive meaning for the term.

· Gendercide -Gendercide is a neologism that refers to the systematic killing of members of a specific sex, either males or females.[1]

>

Genocide (examples) -Genocide is the deliberate and systematic destruction, in whole or in part, of an ethnic, racial, religious, or national group.

Hate crime -Hate crimes (also known as bias-motivated crimes) occur when a perpetrator targets a victim because of his or her perceived membership in a certain social group, usually defined by racial group, religion, sexual orientation, disability, ethnicity, nationality, age, gender, gender identity, or political affiliation.[1]

· Hate speech - Hate speech is a term for speech intended to offend[citation needed] a person or group of people based on their race, gender, age, ethnicity, nationality, religion, sexual orientation, gender identity, disability, language ability, ideology, social class, occupation, appearance (height, weight, hair color, etc.), mental capacity, and any other distinction that might be considered by some as a liability. The term covers written as well as oral communication and some forms of behaviors in a public setting

Lynching -Lynching is an extrajudicial punishment meted by a mob. It is an enumerated felony in all states of the United States, defined by some codes of law as "Any act of violence inflicted by a mob upon the body of another person which results in the death of the person," with a 'mob' being defined as "the assemblage of two or more persons, without color or authority of law, for the premeditated purpose and with the premeditated intent of committing an act of violence upon the person of another." Lynching in the second degree is defined as "Any act of violence inflicted by a mob upon the body of another person and from which death does not result."[1] To sustain a conviction for lynching at least some evidence of premeditation must be produced, but "The common intent to do violence" may be formed before or during the assemblage."[2]

· Paternalism - Paternalism refers usually to an attitude or a policy stemming from the hierarchic pattern of a family based on patriarchy, that is, there is a figurehead (the father, pater in Latin) that makes decisions on behalf of others (the "wife" and "children") for their own good, even if this is contrary to their wishes.

· Pogrom - A pogrom is a form of riot directed against a particular group, whether ethnic, religious, or other, and characterized by the killing and destruction of their homes, businesses, and religious centers. The term was originally used to denote extensive violence against Jews – either spontaneous or premeditated – but in English it is also applied to similar incidents against other minority groups.

Police brutality - Police brutality is the intentional use of excessive force, usually physical, but potentially also in the form of verbal attacks and psychological intimidation, by a police officer.

· Racial profiling - Racial profiling is the inclusion of racial or ethnic characteristics in determining whether a person is considered likely to commit a particular type of crime or an illegal act or to behave in a "predictable" manner. It is often confused with the more comprehensive Offender Profiling. Toward the end of the 20th century in the United States, the practice became controversial among the general public[citation needed] as the potential for abuse by law enforcement came to light. Racial profiling is also correlated with the use of sophisticated National DNA Database technologies for the purposes of applying racial, ethnic and genetic forms of analysis for the function of profiling individuals and empowering the state's ability to police individuals and groups via such techniques.

Race war - Race war is a term referring to developing hostilities between ethnic groups divided on the basis of racial group or skin color. The term may refer to specific violent acts or to general overt or covert hostilities between ethnic groups; compare ethnic conflict.

· Religious persecution - Religious persecution is the systematic mistreatment of an individual or group of individuals as a response to their religious beliefs of affiliations. The tendency of societies or groups within society to alienate or repress different subcultures is a recurrent theme in human history. Moreover, because a person's religion often determines to a significant extent his or her morality and personal identity, religious differences can be significant cultural factors. Religious persecution may be triggered by religious bigotry (i.e. the denigration of practitioners religions other than those of the oppressors) or by the State when it views a particular religious group as a threat to its interests or security. At a societal level, this dehumanization of a particular religious group may readily turn into violence or other forms of persecution.

Slavery - Slavery is a form of forced labor in which people are considered to be, or treated as, the property of others. Slaves could be held against their will from the time of their capture, purchase or birth, and deprived of the right to leave, to refuse to work, or to receive compensation (such as wages).

Not one of these manifestations is something that would make me proud of myself, my race, my friend, family member etc... On the contrary I would be ashamed to take part in any of the preceding actions. I do not understand how any person could take part in any of these actions and not suffer from a sick feeling in the pit of their stomach. We all know the difference between right and wrong, it is simply whether or not we choose to turn our backs on what we know deep down inside is right.

We must be leaders and lead others away from the beliefs that they are somehow better than someone else and not follow others down the path of hatred.

The U.S Averages A Hate Crime Nearly Every Hour Of Every Day!

Attorney General Eric Holder said Tuesday that recent killings show the need for a tougher U.S. hate crimes law to stop "violence masquerading as political activism."

"Over the last several weeks, we have witnessed brazen acts of violence, committed in places that many would have considered unthinkable," Holder told the Washington Lawyers Committee for Civil Rights and Urban Affairs.

He cited separate attacks over a two-week period that killed a young soldier at a recruiting office, an abortion provider at church and a guard at the U.S. Holocaust Memorial Museum.

The violence, he said, "reminds us of the potential threat posed by violent extremists and the tragedy that ensues when reasoned discourse is replaced by armed confrontation."

In order to stop that violence, he said, Congress should past an updated version of hate crimes legislation, to prosecute more effectively those who commit violent attacks based on sex, disability or sexual orientation. Crimes against Hispanics have also risen

"We will not tolerate murder, or the threat of violence, masquerading as political activism," Holder said. "So let me be clear, the Justice Department will use every tool at its disposal to protect the rights ensured under our Constitution."

Earlier, a leading civil rights coalition cited an increase in white supremacist activity since the election of the first black president.

An FBI report: "In the nearly 20 years since the 1990 enactment of the Hate Crime Statistics Act, the number of hate crimes reported has consistently ranged around 7,500 or more annually - that's nearly one every hour of every day"

The Center reported in February that the number of hate groups had risen by more than 50 per cent since 2000, from 602 to 926. It attributed the growth mainly to fears about nonwhite immigration but said Obama's election and the downward economy also were factors by early this year.

The report found:

-African-Americans remain by far the most frequent victims of hate crimes. Of the 7,624 hate crime incidents reported nationwide in 2007, the most recent year available, 34 per cent were perpetrated against black people.

-In the five years 2003-2007, the number of hate crimes reported against Hispanics increased nearly 40 per cent, from 426 in 2003 to 595 in 2007. Of all hate crimes reported in the United States in 2007, 7.8 per cent were committed against Hispanics.

-In 2007, there were 969 reported hate crimes committed against Jews, constituting 12.7 per cent of all hate crimes reported and 69 per cent of religious bias hate crimes reported.

-Following the terror attacks of Sept. 11, 2001, the number of hate crimes directed against Arab-Americans, Muslims and Sikhs escalated dramatically. In 2001, those groups were victimized in nearly 5 per cent of the total number of hate crimes reported that year, 481 out of 9,730. While the number of reported hate crimes against the groups declined from the peak of 2001, it remains substantially above pre-2001 levels.

-Reported hate crimes committed against individuals because of their sexual orientation increased in 2007 to 1,265, the highest level in five years. Of all hate crimes reported in 2007, the proportion committed against lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender individuals rose to 16.6 per cent, also the highest level in five years.

Pvt. William Long, 23, of Conway, Arkansas, was killed by a Muslim convert.

According to police, a black vehicle pulled up outside the recruiting office at about 10:30 Monday morning, June 1, 2009. A man inside the vehicle opened fire on the soldiers outside. Two soldiers who had barely completed basic training were hit. Private William Long was killed and Private Quinton Ezeagwula, 18, of Jacksonville, Arkansas, was wounded as they were outside the military recruiting center.

The vehicle was stopped on Interstate 630 a short time later and a suspect was taken into custody. Hastings said the suspect pulled over and surrendered without incident. Police found an assault rifle in the vehicle.

The suspect targeted the military, but is not believed to be part of a bigger conspiracy. The suspect Abdulhakim Bledsoe, 23, of Little Rock is a Muslim convert who has also gone by the names Carlos Bledsoe and Abdulhakim Mujahid Muhammad. He "stated that he was a practicing Muslim ... that he was mad at the U.S. military because of what they had done to Muslims in the past," He said he fired several rounds at the soldiers with the intent of killing them."

The Murder of Dr. George Tiller

Dr. George Tiller, one of the nation's few providers of late-term abortions despite decades of protests and attacks, was shot and killed Sunday May 31, 2009 in a church where he was serving as an usher.

The gunman fled, but a 51-year-old suspect, Scott Roeder was detained some 170 miles away in suburban Kansas City three hours after the shooting, Wichita Deputy Police Chief Tom Stolz said.

Police did not release a motive for the shooting. But the doctor's violent death was the latest in a string of shootings and bombings over two decades directed against abortion clinics, doctors and staff.

Long a focus of national groups that oppose abortion rights, Tiller was shot in the foyer of Reformation Lutheran Church. Tiller's attorney, Dan Monnat, said Tiller's wife, Jeanne, was in the choir at the time.

Steven Kazmierczak, shoots 22 at Northern Illinois University

Thursday, June 25th 2009, 27 year old former student, Steven Kazmierczak opened fire at Northern Illinois University on a geology class injuring 21 people, killing five people and then he turned the gun on himself as students were still running for cover.

The five victims, all students have been identified. They are: Gayle Dubowski 20 of Carol Stream, Catalina Garcia, 20, of Cicero, Julianna Gehant, 32, of Meridian, Ryanne Mace,19, of Carpentersville, and Dan Parmenter, 20 of Elmhurst, according to the DeKalb County coroner's office.

NIU Police Chief Don Grady said the gunman acted alone, but that officials have not yet established a motive for the shooting. Officials said a preliminary investigation revealed the gunman had no criminal record and there was no record of him having any previous contact with police.

"It's kind of like one of those things where you're just like 'Wait, what's going on?' You just kind of fight for your life and you crawl out and every one's screaming. It's the worst thing I've seen in my life." said Lauren Carr.

Seven Teens Injured As Gunmen Open Fire

June 30, 2009, Gunmen said to be driving a green minivan opened fire on a group of teenagers who were waiting at a bus stop near a Detroit school. At least seven teenagers were wounded, including two who were in critical condition.

Information gathered from Yahoo! News

I ask myself, what kind of person or persons does it take to pick out a group of people, any group, and just start shooting at them without the smallest doubt that they should be doing this entering their mind(s)? It is so unconscionable to think that any one is truly capable of such a random act of complete and utter guilt -free violence. People like this are truly pure evil. I do not even believe that this is a mental instability or can be tracked back to their upbringing or the usual defence their lawyers try to deceive a jury with. I do believe in evil and this IS one of the reasons why. These gunmen need to be caught quickly before they can strike again and put away forever.

12 Wounded During Shooting Spree At Party

zUPDATE 4/6/09

MIAMI - As many as three gunman stormed a birthday party on the edge of downtown Miami and opened fire early Monday, shooting 12 people and causing a chaotic scramble as people tried to flee, authorities said.

Three of the wounded were hospitalized in critical condition, police spokesman Detective William Moreno said. Another person fleeing the home was struck by a vehicle and was in stable condition. Police are searching for the suspects.

The men were wearing all black and opened fire with automatic weapons around 12:45 a.m. Shell casings from an AK-47 and two pistols were found, police said. (AP)

Right now we can only guess at what the motive might be. It sounds like gang activity, but you never know these days. It is tragic that a group of people can not gather together for a party without being a target for violence. What will it take for this kind of violence to stop?

Attack in Jakarta!

By ANTHONY DEUTSCH,

JAKARTA, Indonesia – Suicide bombers posing as guests attacked American luxury hotels in Indonesia's capital and set off a pair of blasts Friday that killed eight people and wounded more than 50, authorities said.

The bombings, which came two minutes apart, ended a four-year lull in terror attacks in the world's most populous Muslim nation. At least eight Americans were among the wounded.

The blasts at the high-rise J.W. Marriott and Ritz-Carlton hotels, located side-by-side in an upscale business district in Jakarta, blew out windows and scattered debris and glass across the street, kicking up a thick plume of smoke. An Associated Press reporter saw bodies being carried away in police trucks.

The attackers evaded hotel security, smuggling explosives into the Marriott and assembling the bombs in a room on the 18th floor, where an undetonated device was found after the explosions. The bombers had stayed at the hotel for two days and set off the blasts in restaurants at both hotels.

"They had been using the room as their 'command post' since July 15, and today they were supposed to check out," police chief Gen. Bambang Hendarso Danuri said.

As a person who loves to travel, I find it very hard to find a safe place to travel to any more. This used to be such a wonderful and beautiful destination to vacation at and now it is becoming another hot spot. I really dislike the fact that extremists, hate-groups are ruining life for the rest of us. No person should have to fear jumping on an airplane and traveling to another wonderful country that offers so many diverse opportunities for tourism. Now you fear who is on the plane with you, will you get caught in a street war or will your hotel explode? It is so unfair, to both the traveller just wanting to enjoy their vacation and the county who needs the profit from tourism.

Statement by the President of the United States on the bombings in Indonesia

I strongly condemn the attacks that occurred this morning in Jakarta, and extend my deepest condolences to all of the victims and their loved ones.

The American people stand by the Indonesian people in this difficult time, and the U.S. government stands ready to help the Indonesian government respond to and recover from these outrageous attacks as a friend and partner.

Indonesia has been steadfast in combating violent extremism, and has successfully curbed terrorist activity within its borders. However, these attacks make it clear that extremists
remain committed to murdering innocent men, women and children of any faith in all countries.

We will continue to partner with Indonesia to eliminate the threat from these violent extremists, and we will be unwavering in supporting a future of security and opportunity for the Indonesian people.
